During the first half of this year, seven different vessel companies were active in the foundation installation market with at least 20 foundation components installed. The Benelux-based companies once again show their strong position in this market. DEME Group installed the most components with a combined 124 foundation components between their vessels Innovation, Orion 1 and Apollo. Van Oord was the second most active installing 101 foundation components between three vessels.

When comparing the number of components installed it should be considered that the duration of installing a transition piece, a jacket or a suction bucket jacket often takes significantly less time than e.g., a set of pin-piles or a monopile.
