Siemens Gamesa Dominate 2024 WTG Installation

Siemens Gamesa take the top spot! With 294 turbines installed during 2024, Siemens Gamesa was the OEM with the most turbines installed ahead of Vestas. In 2024 we saw installation from four different OEMs and eight different turbine platforms. Siemens Gamesa remained the market leader with the installation of both their, 7 MW, 8 MW, 11 MW, and the new 14 MW turbines. Vestas came in second with 93 turbines of their V174-9.5 model. Their next generation V236-15.0 MW turbine is set for the first offshore installation this year.

GE Vernova continued installation of their Haliade-X 13 turbine at Vineyard Wind and Dogger Bank A seeing 57 installed in 2024. In the APAC region, Doosan Enerbility completed the installation of twelve of their WinDS5500/140 turbine locally in South Korea.
