Sea Impact Released its Q2-2024 Report
Newly released Quarterly Platform Update Report that summarizes some of the most interesting activities that offshore wind installation & maintenance industry has seen throughout the past quarter.
Key Details:
- Sea Impact is tracking the Major Component Exchange Activities at Hywind Scotland, the world’s first floating offshore wind farm operated by Equinor. All five SGRE turbines will be towed to Norway for replacement.
- First Steel in water has been seen at Coastal Virgnia Project in the US with currently a fast monopile installation. EU also saw the first installation of the new SG 14-222 platform from Siemens Gamesa.
- Q2-2024 has seen a significant increase in fixed-bottom MCR compared to past years, particularly in the 6MW+ turbine segment.

- A module focused on Substation Installation Activities has been added to our platform
- We have initiated tracking of Chinese jack-up, crane and SOV vessels and the installation performances of 10-16 MW Chinese machines installed in China.
