Siemens Gamesa holds the top spot – again!

With 130 turbines installed in the first half of 2025, Siemens Gamesa continues to lead the offshore wind market for the eighth consecutive half-year (since H1-2021).

In total, three OEMs and six turbine platforms saw installation activity in H1 2025:
▪️ Siemens Gamesa: Installed 8 MW, 11 MW, and 14 MW turbines across multiple sites
▪️ GE Vernova: Installed 38 units of the Haliade-X 13 MW platform
▪️ Vestas: Installed 16 turbines, including the first seven units of their next-generation V236-15.0 MW turbine

Industry Wide

Industry-wide installation reached 193 turbines, representing a 10% decrease compared to H1 2024, mainly due to less activity in Q1.

Despite the slowdown, the market is picking up:
WTG installation campaigns are now active at eight different wind farms across Europe, APAC, and the United States. This includes the first campaigns for two of Cadeler’s new-built vessels.
