2024 Top 3:
DEME Group, Cadeler and ZITON A/S remain on top.
DEME
DEME Group has become a dominant force, securing seven first-place finishes in foundation installation and three in WTG installation. Their jack-up vessel, Innovation, has been crucial in the foundation category, installing over 1000 monopiles. With the acquisition of A2SEA A/S in 2017, DEME Offshore strengthened its position in the WTG installation market, becoming a market leader for a few years.
ZITON A/S
ZITON A/S has been a consistent leader in the O&M jack-up intervention market, claiming the top spot for eight of the last nine years.
Cadeler and Fred. Olsen Windcarrier
Cadeler and Fred. Olsen Windcarrier have also been significant players, with Cadeler topping the charts five times across foundation and turbine installation. Until 2023 with their two jack-ups Wind Orca and Wind Osprey. Their merger with Seajacks expanded their fleet with two further jack-ups and they are currently taking delivery of several new-builts. Fred. Olsen Windcarrier has primarily focused on WTG installation, securing the crown twice.
Heerema Marine Contractors
Heerema Marine Contractors has increased their focus on offshore wind, leading in foundation installations in 2022.
Van Oord
Van Oord has consistently performed well, claiming second places in both foundation and WTG scopes, though they have yet to take the top spot.
Note: The overview includes marine contractor that has installed/replaced the highest number of components each year. For the foundation scope some foundation types include two main components. This means that installation of a monopile and a transition piece each count as one component.
